A builder has 2 attempts to fix a problem that seriously diminishes the value of a home. If after 2 attempts to fix the problem, or 2 notifications from the homeowner that a serious problem exists, the builder cannot or will not make repairs the builder must:
Buy the home back at the market value or the original purchase price, whichever is greater. Or, replace the home with a similar home. It is the buyer's choice as to which option is implemented.
Everyone pays for shoddy construction via increased insurance rates and bankruptcies.
